The Many Faces of Self-Care and Why You Should be Doing It

When you think of self-care, images of indulgent facials or slathering up with face and body soap in a bathtub probably come to mind.

However, self-care is really just a broad term that encompasses all the many things you need to do to remain healthy, reduce stress, and take care of your mental wellbeing.

It’s just a form of taking care of yourself!

Of course, there’s nothing wrong with a good bath and body wash, or splurging on best anti-aging serums for yourself. It’s just important to remember that self-care comes in many different forms for different people.

Self-care could involve time alone to read a book, or it might be getting adequate sleep. For some, it might involve doing yoga, or perhaps it’s going for a hike. It can even be as simple as asking for help when you need it.

No matter what self-care looks like to you, make sure you take the time to do it!
